About the job
- An active Registered Nurse license is required.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- At least one year of Operating Room and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings.
- Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
- Identify and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Develop and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care.
- Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse certification is preferred.
