At Vercel, our mission is to enable the world to ship the best products and that goes hand in hand with creating an environment where you can do the best work of your life.
About the role:
Developing JavaScript applications is hard, especially when you’re developing large applications with a bunch of other people. Your code not only needs to work, it also has to be fast, reliable, secure, accessible, scalable, comprehensible to your teammates (and future you), operational with your teammates’ code and all the third-party and internal systems it interacts with, plus more.
The Vercel Spaces team is determined to make building large, high-quality JavaScript applications easier. By providing expert guidance, facilitating collaboration, and catching issues early, we aim to help developers ship high-quality products more quickly. In this role, you will be building out new product lines to achieve this goal.
What you will do:
- Working collaboratively with cross-team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help develop new products. This involves creating a static analysis framework designed to identify issues, re-envisioning support for code owners, and constructing a user interface for convenient access to information like organizational contacts, code health issues, and build logs.
- Write technical proposals, internal documentation, and more. Because we work remotely and often asynchronously, we communicate largely in writing.
- Contribute to a team environment that values collaboration, frequent feedback, mutual respect, kindness, and continuous improvement.
About you:
- You have 6+ years of software engineering experience
- You are energized by helping other developers and want to improve developer workflows.
- You want to help users and organizations build the best web applications.
- You have experience building web applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
- You have knowledge of static analysis and compilers.
- Experience with developer productivity, web application performance, or web security would be helpful.
- You are located in the United States.
Benefits:
- Great compensation package and stock options.
- Inclusive Healthcare Package.
- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
- Flexible Time Off - Flexible vacation policy with a recommended 4-weeks per year, and paid holidays.
- Remote Friendly - Work with teammates from different time zones across the globe.
- We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
