AI Engineer - Semantic Kernel/Microsoft Agent Framework

About the job
- Proven experience as a .NET (C#) developer in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience building solutions with Azure OpenAI and/or Azure AI Foundry.
- Practical knowledge of large language model application patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool/function calling, prompt design, and evaluation.
- Experience with Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, or comparable AI orchestration frameworks.
- Solid grasp of the Azure platform, including Azure AI Search, App Service or Functions, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong analytical mindset and end-to-end solution design capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, from requirements gathering to delivery.
- Design and build AI-powered applications and agents on the Azure AI stack, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.
- Develop agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and tool/function calling in C#/.NET using Semantic Kernel or Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Integrate large language model capabilities into enterprise applications and services, including APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Build and maintain knowledge bases and retrieval layers with Azure AI Search, embeddings, and vector stores.
- Implement evaluation of AI outputs using test datasets, quality metrics, and prompt iteration.
- Apply enterprise-grade security, identity, networking, and observability practices to AI workloads.
- Automate build, deployment, and analysis workflows with Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Work embedded with client technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Present progress, solutions, and recommendations to international stakeholders in English.
- Document architectures, patterns, and decisions, and propose continuous improvement.
- Python for AI tooling and evaluation.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Vector databases.
- GitHub Copilot ecosystem.
