Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of working with mission critical, distributed, multi-tier, 24x7 Cloud Operations/SRE teams
  • Minimum 4+ years configuring/supporting/troubleshooting Windows Server
  • Minimum 4+ years configuring/supporting/troubleshooting IIS and .Net platforms
  • Minimum 4+ years configuring/supporting/troubleshooting Azure Kubernetes and containers
  • Understand and ability to admin Unix/Linux systems
  • Readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shift model
  • Hands on script creation in PowerShell, Linux shell, Python or C# start/stop/restart services
  • Experience using and configuring full spectrum Monitoring, Logging and event tool like Splunk, Sumo Logic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, Elastic Search (Kibana), App Insights
  • Knowledge and experience with load balancing systems F5s, App Gateways, Azure Front Door
  • Proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving deadlines, meeting SLAs/SLOs, and producing results
  • Excellent customer service, people skills and relationship building skills
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be a good listener and to understand customer issues

  • Azure Certifications: AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Azure Portal/Azure DevOps/Visual Studio/Azure Active Directory
  • Experience and working knowledge with a range of Azure IaaS and PaaS services
  • Experience of configuring/supporting Kubernetes (AKS Preferred), Redis Cache
  • Comfortable using TFS (Team Foundation Server) and Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows
  • Comfortable with Visual Studio and SQL Server Data Tools
  • Comfortable with basic DevOps concepts like CI/CD and Infra-automation
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform
  • Knowledge and experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and procedure
  • Preferred familiarity (2+ years) with some or all the following Azure PaaS security resources: Threat protection WAF (Web Application Firewall) Tenable Nessus Microsoft Defender for Cloud Static code scanning tools: Veracode Open-Source scanning tools: Blackduck SIEM (Sentinel), and Cloud Security Analytics Security Operation Center
Responsibilities
  • Support and scale environments in the Azure Government Cloud
  • Take part in deployments, upgrades, incident, problem & capacity management functions
  • Ensure all services are running reliably & securely
  • Use automation within Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD pipelines and custom tooling
  • Interact with customer support and professional services to troubleshoot issues and provide workarounds
  • Create and manage processes for the secure operation of customer cloud environments
  • Systems used are (Windows, Linux, and Azure SQL Server and Databases) and Network administration
  • Use knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) to make changes and find root cause for incidents and problems
  • Identify, escalate, and communicate incidents and problems in a timely manner
  • Contribute to and maintain a knowledge base centered on known incidents/defects, Frequently Asked Questions, resolved incidents and problems, applying lessons learned to prevent future occurrences
  • Collaborate with customer services, professional services, project/program/product managers, and engineers to ensure critical and time-sensitive projects run smoothly to achieve business outcomes
  • On-call responsibilities to respond to emergency situations and scheduled maintenance
