Requirements
  • More than 2 years of experience within operations is preferred, and/or relevant Healthcare industry experience.
  • GDP Certification must be obtained within 6 months of appointment.
  • GDP Auditing Certification must be obtained within 6 months of appointment.
  • Knowledge of the global logistics industry and distribution of healthcare products.
  • Access to pharmaceutical knowledge and advice when required, and knowledge of products traded under the license.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements for wholesale distribution and the European Pharmaceutical Directive related to wholesale distribution of medicinal products.
  • Self-management and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Prior experience with communication, public speaking, and training.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to employees at all levels.
  • Strong personal-computer and analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Flowchart creation, process analysis, and auditing skills, including questioning skills.
  • Good time management and fluent English with professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and perform work primarily while seated at a desk.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and provide quality assurance on solutions and processes running in the district.
  • Create reports based on the needs of product and operational departments.
  • Prepare internal status and analytical reports.
  • Help quantify productivity results for each solution or tool created.
  • Map processes using available tools and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform data analysis using Expeditors system tools, including Branch exp.o and Report Scheduler.
  • Assist operations with data requirements needed for daily tasks.
  • Maintain a project ticketing system capturing status, timeliness, and priorities, and provide updates to the reporting structure.
  • Support quality record keeping so written procedures are documented, understood, followed, and retained in compliance with operations and local regulations.
  • Develop and provide technical and quality-related training for operational staff.
  • Develop and share artificial-intelligence Copilot solutions within the district.
  • Support the Responsible Person, the district, and employees in complying with Good Distribution Practice requirements related to the district facility type and customer requirements.
  • Follow up on Good Distribution Practice compliance tasks and corrective actions while maintaining compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Assist in ensuring that company-owned or leased facilities and equipment are maintained to Good Distribution Practice standards.
  • Support completion and documentation of risk assessments for activities that may impact Good Distribution Practice or customer products.
  • Support operations on recalled, returned, quarantined, rejected, or falsified products according to customer instructions.
  • Support corrective and preventive action documentation so appropriate actions are recorded and implemented correctly and on time.
  • Help ensure customers are informed in writing of shipment issues.
  • Support application of appropriate transport requirements and methods for cold-chain, ambient, and hazardous products, and help confirm transport equipment is appropriately qualified.
  • Support compliance with agreed customer requirements documented in the Customer Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Coordinate tracking of Good Distribution Practice training assignments, deadlines, and refresher training in the PDC, and escalate non-compliance to the Responsible Person or District Manager.
  • Support internal self-assessments and help prepare for external customer or regulatory audits, and communicate results.
  • Support Good Distribution Practice document control, ensuring current-version documents are used, recorded, and retained using company systems.
  • Support Good Distribution Practice service-provider profile maintenance in the customer relationship management system according to company standards.
  • Attend conference calls with the Healthcare Regional Team as required.
  • Participate in departmental and district meetings to discuss quality and Good Distribution Practice compliance.

Expeditors posts 51% earnings jump to $2.03 per share, but air freight and customs tailwinds may not last

Expeditors International of Washington reported second-quarter 2026 results with diluted earnings per share jumping 51% to $2.03. Net earnings rose 45% to $266 million, whilst revenue climbed 32% to $3.5 billion. The logistics company saw double-digit revenue growth across customs brokerage, Transcon, distribution, and order management. Airfreight tonnage rose 14% year over year, driven by AI hyperscaler demand and North Asian e-commerce. Ocean freight volumes increased 7% versus the first quarter. However, management noted some tailwinds appear temporary. Elevated air freight rates stemmed from Middle East conflict disruptions. Customs brokerage growth was partly fueled by a temporary surge in IEEPA-related filings. Expeditors returned $461 million to shareholders through buybacks and dividends during the quarter. The company announced a $25 million technology restructuring expected to trim annual costs by roughly $50 million.

Expeditors beats Q2 estimates with $3.5B revenue, up 32% year-on-year

Expeditors International reported second-quarter revenue of $3.50 billion, up 32.1% year on year and beating analyst estimates of $2.95 billion by 18.6%. The logistics and freight forwarding company also posted GAAP earnings of $2.03 per share, exceeding consensus estimates of $1.69 by 19.9%. Operating margin held steady at 10% compared to the same quarter last year. However, free cash flow margin declined to 4.8% from 6.2% in the year-ago period. The company's board declared a semi-annual dividend of $0.81 per share, payable on 15 June to shareholders of record as of 1 June. Expeditors has returned nearly $2 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases since 2024. Analysts project revenue growth of 1.1% over the next 12 months.

Expeditors International cuts 230 tech jobs, abandoning longstanding no-layoff policy

Expeditors International, a Washington-based freight forwarder, is cutting 230 employees by the end of the year, marking a departure from its longstanding no-layoff policy. The reductions affect the company's US global technology department across five offices in Washington state. According to a WARN notice filed Monday, the Seattle office will lose 68 employees, Federal Way 66, and Lynnwood 59. Separations began 8 August and will be finalised by 31 December. The cuts represent 15.4% of Expeditors' information systems branch, which employed 1,498 workers as of 31 March, and 1.1% of the company's total 20,361 staff. Affected positions include software developers, quality assurance engineers, project managers and business analysts. The company recently updated its corporate history page to describe its "short-term no layoff policy" rather than simply "no layoff policy".
