Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise software-as-a-service sales with a proven track record of success in federal accounts.
  • Experience managing long, complex sales cycles within the United States Federal Government.
  • Deep understanding of Federal acquisition processes, including BPAs, GWACs, OTAs, and IDIQ vehicles.
  • Strong command of compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust, and how they relate to software-as-a-service vendor selection.
  • Experience building rapport with technical and procurement audiences and mapping stakeholders across large agencies.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar customer relationship management system to track pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • Experience with GovWin to support early capture planning, track pre-RFP activity, and align sales efforts with forecasted opportunities.
  • Ability to build trust and influence across Sales, Marketing, Channel, Product, and other key functions.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and flexibility, apply structured thinking to ambiguous situations, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
  • Qualify and develop Federal prospects to maintain an up-to-date pipeline aligned to territory and quota goals.
  • Lead full-cycle sales efforts, including prospecting, discovery, value articulation, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build and manage a Federal Civilian pipeline and associated opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on the company platform by tailoring solutions to mission needs and compliance constraints, including FedRAMP, NIST, and Department of Defense Impact Level frameworks.
  • Identify and engage technical, procurement, and security stakeholders to advance deals.
  • Work with channel partners, internal sales development representatives, and Marketing to penetrate net-new accounts and drive account-based campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams while owning requests for information, requests for proposals, and procurement documentation.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and implementation plans with leadership approval on strategic deals.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline in Salesforce and drive consistent quota attainment.
  • Represent the company at industry events, partner summits, and government conferences to grow visibility and pipeline.

Summit Partners retains NinjaOne stake with $625m continuation vehicle

Summit Partners is transferring part of its investment in NinjaOne to a continuation vehicle, raising $625m in a transaction led by Lead Edge Capital and Hamilton Lane. The deal comprises $500m for the continuation vehicle and $125m in uncalled commitments for future development. The vehicle will hold approximately half of Summit Partners' stake in NinjaOne, which provides cloud-based IT endpoint management solutions. Existing investors could sell their stake, transfer exposure to the new vehicle, or combine both options. NinjaOne's valuation has surged from $5bn in February 2025 to $12.3bn by June, following a $400m Series C funding extension. The company serves nearly 40,000 organisations across 140 countries with over 2,000 employees.
