About the job
- At least 2 years of combined housekeeping and cooking experience is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to pass background checks and provide references.
- Candidates must be able to lift or move items up to 20 pounds and perform manual household tasks.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Candidates must be able to independently manage household responsibilities and prepare meals for 2–5 people.
- Proficiency in cleaning techniques and use of common household appliances, including a washer, dryer, vacuum, iron, and dishwasher, is required.
- Cooking and meal preparation skills are required, including the ability to tailor menus to preferences and dietary needs.
- Candidates must maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, and common areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and managing laundry services.
- Care for and maintain furniture, fixtures, appliances, and household supplies.
- Provide waitstaff support for official functions such as receptions, dinners, and other events.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals tailored to residents’ needs and guest preferences.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and maintain proper kitchen cleanliness, storage, and food inventory.
- Follow public health safety and hygiene standards, including food safety, sanitation, handwashing, and use of gloves and hairnets.
- Communicate with residence staff while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Provide hospitality support during official receptions, dinners, and private events, including table setting, serving meals, beverage service, and discreetly attending to guests’ needs.
- Monitor and manage household supplies, including cleaning products, toiletries, and kitchen stock; restock, track usage, and coordinate replenishments for daily living and special events.
- Background in formal, high-profile, or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Professional training or certifications in hospitality, housekeeping, or culinary services are desirable.
