About the job
- An associate’s degree and a minimum of two years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, effective listening, and responsiveness.
- The ability to build rapport, show empathy, collaborate, and solve problems.
- Provide a superior service experience that meets guests’ needs and reflects the bank’s culture and community commitment.
- Develop, maintain, and grow profitable new and existing relationships while minimizing risk.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and negotiable items; balance the cash drawer daily; identify and promptly report suspicious transactions; and assist with daily servicing of branch hardware, including automated teller machines and teller cash recyclers.
- Anticipate client needs and advise clients on personally beneficial solutions.
- Assist with opening new accounts and establishing new relationships.
- Educate clients on the bank’s products, services, and processes that meet client and community needs.
- Seek direction from the Retail Banking Supervisor or Retail Branch Manager to align daily work with organizational goals, and collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the Retail business line to meet client needs.
- Monitor deposit and credit portfolios for quality and potential risk, and conduct collection efforts when necessary using means permitted by Loan Policy and Guidelines.
- Follow employee handbook policies and procedures.
- Follow compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training and supervisor-designated meetings.
- A general understanding of sales and aptitude for sales.
