Requirements
  • Three years or more of related experience in general maintenance work.
  • Substantial experience in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, general building systems, and related areas as necessary.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance may be required.
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
  • Ability to use equipment and chemicals in the prescribed manner, including the ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions.
  • Basic ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to identify and resolve potential safety and security problems.
  • Ability to adhere to abuse prevention policies, maintain appropriate boundaries, complete required training, report suspicious or inappropriate behavior, and comply with mandated reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance on buildings, including painting, electrical work, and general repairs.
  • Resolve complex maintenance problems, keep related records, and complete repair projects and minor remodels.
  • Inspect and service vans and keep related records.
  • Maintain and repair fitness equipment.
  • Report and resolve building problems.
  • Order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and tools.
  • Coordinate the work of contractors as assigned.
  • Move furniture as needed.
  • Ensure staff are properly screened, trained, supervised, and held accountable to the organization's abuse risk management standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations, including differences in language, culture, race, physical ability, and sexual orientation.
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English.
