Requirements
  • Possess a minimum of four and a half years of experience in flight mission planning and utilizing mission planning systems for military weapon systems within the last two years.
  • Possess four and a half years of experience with Air defense Systems, Electronic War-fare and other national, international and theater-level threat system capabilities, developments and initiatives as they pertain to mission planning.
  • Possess a minimum of eighteen months of experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop within the last 12 months.
  • The minimum level of education required is: High school diploma
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Special Note: The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and manage Global Positioning System (GPS) mapping tiles and targets forvirtual landscaping and sensor targeting requirements.
  • Create and modify simulation scenarios using Extended Air Defense Simulator (EADSIM), orcurrent simulation tools, to provide high-fidelity training for RQ-170 crews.
  • Operate and manage simulators for training and test purposes. Duties will include providing whiteforce and external injects to scenarios
  • Maintain proficiency with mission planning process and manage simulator mission plans andscenarios
  • Support mission planners with Order of Battle information from the simulation scenarios andassist with the building of mission plans, as required.
  • Liaise with the System Program Office (SPO), staff, other DoD organizations, and missionplanning experts to remain current on LO ISR system capabilities, developments and initiatives inorder to best advise unit leadership, tacticians, test directors, program managers and missionplanners on policies, positions, plans and execution.
  • Advise and recommend options to manage and improve LO ISR mission planning processes andprocedures, efficiency and effectiveness, equipment capabilities and training requirements ateach post- mission debrief.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to unit-led LO ISR related exercises, tests,experimentational and table top events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of LOISR assets and associated infrastructure.
  • Provide SME support to provide input and changes to mission qualification, continuationtraining, and FTU course syllabus.
  • Provide support to program management reviews, human machine interface, missionplanning and other working groups, conferences.
  • Assists with monitoring the state of health of Program Security and make suggestions forimprovements as necessary.

  • Experience with LO mission planning is desirable, but not required.
