Position Summary
As an assembler on Tovala’s food production team, you will be involved in our food preparation and packing operations. This includes portioning and packaging our food products. Additionally, you will prep our packaging inventory and perform duties on our packing line to assemble our meals for shipping to customers.
Location: 815 W Pershing Road, Chicago, IL 60609
Schedule: : Tuesday - Friday, 7:30pm - 6:00am (4 days per week, 10 hour shift)
Additional pay: $2/hr on top of base pay ($18.50) for overnight shift
How you’ll spend your time at Tovala
- Portioning veggies, grains, spices, and sauces, into small plastic bags of corresponding containers
- Inspecting product for qualityMaking small cardboard boxes
- Packing products into boxesInsulating shipping boxes
- Labeling finished products for shipping
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Working with the team to meet daily production goals
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food or other manufacturing experience preferred
- Food certifications and licenses as required
