About the job
- Ensure that all preparation, set-up, and services are completed efficiently to agreed standards and timelines, and clear rooms after every service while reporting equipment faults.
- Follow procedures for beverage service and complete the appropriate consumption sheets.
- Remain visible, approachable, and responsive during service to fulfill customer needs.
- Keep service equipment secure and clean when not in use.
- Carry out beverage and dry store stock takes as required.
- Maintain daily knowledge of the food being served and ensure food and beverages are served in line with the Service Level Agreement.
- Complete daily work-schedule tasks within the allocated time.
- Prioritize important and urgent tasks within deadlines and organize the workspace efficiently.
- Work effectively without supervision and take responsibility for quality and service standards while seeking improvements.
- Acknowledge and greet customers and follow up on their requests.
- Meet, greet, and serve guests discreetly and professionally in line with company standards.
- Share information and encourage colleagues to participate in joint tasks.
- Cover colleagues' hours and responsibilities during their absence.
- Maintain positive communication with customers, colleagues, and managers.
- Comply with health and safety, fire, and environmental policies, and report hazards to management.
- Follow unit cleaning standards and COSHH regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Carry out reasonable management requests and attend training courses when required.
- Notify management of ordering requirements.
- Provide the Manager and Chefs with feedback about comments or special requests from clients and guests.
- Support new working methods and adapt to new procedures.
- Participate in required training.
- Identify new and more efficient ways of working.
- Comply with the Business Conduct Policy.
