- A high school degree or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance is required.
- Experience in aggregates processing is ideal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
- Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and properly written preventive maintenance routines is required.
- The ability to build trust and respect without relying on authority is required.
- Effective communication skills are required.
- Comply with all health and safety practices and procedures.
- Provide detailed statuses of completed or ongoing repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Comply with standard operating procedures and reporting and recording requirements.
- Assist contractors and ensure they have repair instructions, preventive maintenance documentation, and parts to properly execute work.
- Assist the maintenance supervisor in auditing work done by contractors.
- Participate in training as provided and required by company directives.
- Perform high-tech predictive maintenance using tools such as a thermographic camera and ultrasonic tester.
- Clean and organize work areas after preventive maintenance and repairs are completed, and support the operations team in keeping the plant clean and organized.
- Ensure repair report information is accurate, including root causes and parts usage.
- Maintain all mobile equipment.
- Care for and safely use the large vacuum trailer and other complex maintenance and cleaning equipment.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance and associated repairs on assigned equipment.
- Initiate and lead repairs resulting from unplanned plant breakdowns.
- Alert the supervisor to safety, environmental, or mechanical efficiency issues that should be addressed immediately or scheduled at the next available opportunity.
