Ingram Micro has earned Microsoft's Frontier Distributor designation within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, recognising its ability to help partners scale AI implementations across cloud, security and services. The designation reinforces Ingram Micro's role in enabling AI-first partners building on Microsoft Copilot and related solutions. The development supports Ingram Micro's AI-focused growth strategy, which includes its October 2025 launch of Sales Briefing Assistant built on Google's Gemini models. However, investors face near-term risks from low-margin GPU and infrastructure deals that could pressure margins and free cash flow. Ingram Micro's narrative projects $52.2 billion revenue and $694 million earnings by 2028, implying flat yearly revenue growth. The most optimistic analysts forecast $56.7 billion revenue and $709 million earnings by 2029.

Published on: 03 Apr 2026, 2:23 am Sanjib Sahoo was named a "Global Icon for AI, Platform & Business Transformation" at the World Leaders Summit 2026, at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. The recognition celebrates his leadership in advancing AI-driven platforms that are transforming global business operations by bridging innovation with measurable outcomes. The World Leaders Summit brings together policymakers, diplomats, and industry leaders to address critical challenges at the intersection of technology, business, and global development. This year's theme, "Reshaping Global Impact: Innovation, Sustainability & Inclusive Development," spotlighted the role of leadership in driving inclusive and future-ready progress. As a featured speaker, Sahoo highlighted how organizations must approach AI adoption by focusing on business needs and human impact, rather than technology alone, in his keynote on the future of AI in global commerce. "Intelligence is the new operating system," said Mr. Sanjib Sahoo, President, Global Platform Group, Ingram Micro. "But transformation doesn't start with technology, it starts with purpose and mindset. Great leaders don't push innovation; they humanize it. What an honor, thank you to the World Leaders Summit. This recognition reflects the work of teams rethinking how businesses operate and how people engage in an AI-first world. The industry is at an inflection point where AI and platforms are becoming the operating system for the global economy. But technology alone is not enough, transformation is a journey, and it must remain deeply human." At Ingram Micro, Sahoo leads global platform and AI initiatives, including the development of Xvantage(TM), the company's AI-powered digital platform designed to modernize and automate complex B2B workflows. Recognized as one of the most advanced platforms in the technology distribution industry, Xvantage(TM) leverages data at scale and advanced AI/ML models to enable partners and customers to operate with greater speed, intelligence, and efficiency. The Global Icon award, part of the World Leadership Legacy Series, honors individuals shaping industries, economies, and the future of global collaboration. Microsoft marks Ingram Micro as Frontier Distributor. Mar 31, 2026 2 mins Reflects its ability to help partners move from AI experimentation to execution. Ingram Micro has been designated as Microsoft Frontier Distributor, a newly introduced label under the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. The designation recognises distributors who meet Microsoft's standards for performance, enablement and partner support. Microsoft introduced the concept of "Frontier Firms" during Microsoft Ignite 2025. At the time, chief partner officer and CVP of global channel partner sales Nicole Dezen said Frontier Firms are organisations that embed AI across every layer of their business. The Frontier Distributor designation recognises distributors that meet the "highest standards of performance and enablement", explained Dezen. For Ingram Micro, the designation confirmed that it was trusted to help partners move beyond AI experimentation and deliver real, scalable outcomes for customers. "Microsoft is clearly raising the bar for what modern distribution looks like in the AI era. Being recognised as a Microsoft Frontier Distributor is a significant milestone for Ingram Micro and a strong endorsement of the investments we've made in our people, platforms, and partner enablement capabilities," said Ingram Micro New Zealand executive managing director Leon De Suza. "For our partners across New Zealand, this recognition reinforces that Ingram Micro is committed to simplifying complexity, reducing friction, and helping them grow confidently with Microsoft's cloud, security, and AI solutions. The designation validates the work our cloud and advanced solutions teams are doing every day to help partners operationalise Microsoft technologies at scale." As demand for Copilot, AI, and cloud-led security accelerated, partners needed more than a transactional distributor, added Ingram Micro New Zealand advanced solutions and cloud general manager Brook Gyde. "They need enablement, technical depth, and repeatable go to market support. This recognition from Microsoft reinforces Ingram Micro's role as a strategic cloud partner in New Zealand, focused on turning innovation into execution and helping partners drive measurable customer outcomes." Ingram Micro golf day raises $42k for Cure Kids. Mar 29, 2026 4 mins Channel partners come together to rally behind Cure Kids. Around 100 channel partners of all golfing abilities hacked away for a great cause at Ingram Micro's annual Cure Kids Golf Day in Auckland last week. "With the generous support of our channel partners, we raised $42,000 for Cure Kids and the incredible work they do for children across New Zealand," said Ingram Micro New Zealand executive managing director Leon De Suza. "One thing is certain, when it comes to Cure Kids, our channel always comes together." Partners also heard from Cure Kids ambassador Corin Copeland who shared his journey of being born with a rare genetic condition that caused his veins and arteries to grow closed. "Hearing Corin speak about the challenges he has faced throughout his life was incredibly humbling. Stories like his are a powerful reminder of how fortunate many of us are, and why the work Cure Kids does is so vital," De Suza said. In addition to rallying behind Cure Kids, the day was also a chance to spend quality time with partners, De Suza said. "Our channel is, at its core, all about people, and we genuinely value the opportunity to connect with our vendors, customers and friends outside of the usual day to day conversations."
