Requirements
A bachelor's or associate's degree, certification, or progress toward a degree in a related field.
Beginning-level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and a physical examination.
Preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth.
Preferred: CPR and First Aid certifications.
Preferred: Knowledge of youth development.
Responsibilities
Implement activities within a specific program area, primarily focused on Academic Success.
Create an environment that facilitates achievement of the Academic Success Outcome, including Power Hour and Moby Max implementation.
Assume the role and responsibilities of Youth Development Staff as needed.
Promote and stimulate program participation.
Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Participate in organization-wide events in the Club as requested.
Participate in special programs and/or events as requested.
Participate in required professional development and training.
Collaborate with the leadership team as required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: Youth Education Professional REPORTS TO: Club Director or Program Director STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt 10-20 hours per week (this job can be shared equaling 20 hours) CLUB POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or Certification preferred, or working toward degree in related field
Knowledge of computers at beginning level of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
Must pass a background check, fingerprint, and physical examination
Preferred:
Knowledge of youth development
1 to 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth
CPR and First Aid Certifications
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
