- A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.3/4.0 is required.
- A CPA license or eligibility to become CPA-eligible in the near future is required.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining work quality is required.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to solve problems and find solutions is required.
- Review and audit business transactions across all parts of an audit engagement.
- Use knowledge of internal accounting controls and professional standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board standards, to provide clients with individualized solutions.
- Identify, research, and analyze issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and communicate with senior team members.
- Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop and build quality client relationships and loyalty.
- Develop an understanding of clients' industries and recognize key performance indicators, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
- Participate in networking activities and maintain contact with business peers.
- A master's degree is preferred.
