Responsibilities
  • Drive successful adoption and utilization of Cisco technologies to ensure customer value realization and growth.
  • Proactively handle and mitigate renewal risks in alignment with the renewals team by demonstrating risk insights and adoption action plans.
  • Support customer expansion by finding opportunities for deeper product utilization and aligning technology to evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical influence with customer team members through product demonstrations and consultative sessions.
  • Lead alignment workshops to review adoption progress and drive customer outcomes for onboarding, adoption, and renewals.
  • Provide customer feedback to Cisco product teams to advise product development and improvements.
  • Craft and implement technical adoption plans aligned with customer goals to maximize technology investments.
  • Direct customer requests to appropriate teams for resolution of adoption barriers.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer success, delivery, renewals, and business entities to identify use cases that drive value and business outcomes.
  • Handle a portfolio of complex or strategic accounts involving multiple products, regions, and stakeholders.
  • Supervise multi-workstream adoption initiatives, use artificial intelligence tools to predict adoption challenges, drive value realization cadence, and implement risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Drive standardization and build playbooks across teams.
  • Leverage deep technical knowledge across multiple products and solutions as a technology evangelist to customers.
  • Lead health checks and adoption accelerators and codify standards for scale.
  • Act as a pilot user or early adopter of new artificial intelligence and automation features and drive small internal innovation experiments.
  • Champion artificial intelligence tools to synthesize feedback and adoption data for ongoing improvement.
  • Own technical adoption strategy within the specialization and complete core adoption motions without reliance on customer success specialists.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to share field insights and support enablement efforts.
  • Use customer success feedback tools to log adoption barriers, recognize trends around recurring customer challenges, and surface them to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Lead end-to-end orchestration of customer success adoption initiatives across programs and partners, crafting transformation roadmaps and driving adoption patterns across multiple technologies and cross-functional teams.
  • Guide adoption efforts with minimal oversight and mentor others on technical adoption plan quality and telemetry usage.
  • Drive renewals interlock cadence and deliver de-risking and adoption strategies at scale.
  • Surface and qualify expansion, renewal, and new-business opportunities using adoption insights and route them to Sales and Renewals.
  • Scale and streamline work through reuse, modular playbooks, and automation of routine tasks.
  • Engage regularly, including through on-site meetings, with customers' senior leaders to shape strategic adoption plans.
  • Steer outcome roadmaps and executive updates and raise adoption risks with clear owners.
  • Partner with customers to co-create proactive, predictive, and personalized adoption journeys.
  • Influence internal Product, Engineering, and Sales teams based on customer priorities.
  • Guide pooled customer success specialist and partner resources and set cadence and governance for adoption plans and value reviews.
  • Guide internal process improvements and pilot new ways of working.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups involving customer success, product, and operations.
  • Act as a liaison across accounts, regions, or functional initiatives to ensure a one-team customer experience.
  • Coordinate overlapping service engagements and other customer success manager teams where directly tied to software adoption plans.
  • Provide field insights that influence pricing and packaging strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities from adoption signals and partner with Sales on qualification and forecasting inputs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Operations to align software renewal targets and growth levers.

Cisco stock investors should watch 10% growth target outside AI business

Cisco Systems investors should focus on one key metric: growth outside AI infrastructure, which management expects to reach about 10% in fiscal 2027. Whilst AI infrastructure generates headlines, it represents only 6% of Cisco's revenue, with the remainder coming from networking and security products sold to enterprises and telecoms. The company's product orders rose 35% year-on-year in fiscal Q4 2026, with Wi-Fi 7 accounting for over half of wireless orders. Management forecasts fiscal 2027 revenue of $72.2 billion to $73.4 billion, with $7.5 billion from AI infrastructure. However, challenges loom. Comparisons become tougher in the second half of fiscal 2027, gross margins face pressure from increased hardware shipments, and price increases contributed about 5 percentage points to recent revenue growth. The stock trades at 31.8 times earnings, above the S&P 500's 21.9 multiple, leaving little margin for error.

Cisco CEO tells workers uncomfortable with change to adapt as AI transforms $415B company

Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins has warned employees uncomfortable with rapid change that "nothing's going to feel good right now" as AI transforms the workplace. Speaking to Inc., Robbins said workers "have no choice but to at least keep up" with the pace of technological change driven by industry leaders. Internet2 and Cisco deploy AI PODs at two US universities to expand National Research Platform capacity

Internet2 is expanding the National Research Platform (NRP) through a partnership with Cisco, deploying new AI PODs at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Sacramento State. The AI PODs add GPU capacity that researchers can access when local resources are insufficient. The Cisco AI PODs provide pre-validated compute, networking, and management capabilities that can be deployed as standardised units. This approach reduces engineering and integration work required to add new resources to the platform. Combined, the AI PODs provide 8 NVIDIA H200 GPUs with 1.1 TB of GPU memory, 128 CPU cores, 2 TB of system memory, and 90 TB of NVMe flash storage. The NRP is a community-operated platform supported by the National Science Foundation and over 70 participating organisations, pooling computing resources across the US to give researchers access to capabilities beyond their local institutions.
