Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as determined by the insurance carrier, is required.
  • Ability to operate a 15-passenger van.
  • Must be at least 25 years old to drive company vans.
  • Knowledge of Windows, basic email, Microsoft Word, timekeeping software, and basic computer navigation.
  • Ability to write professional correspondence and reports free from grammatical and spelling mistakes.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret emails, letters, policies, procedures, and similar materials.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts.
  • Active CPR and First Aid certification is required; certification may be provided by Axiom.
  • An active Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for residential locations.
  • A negative tuberculosis test result within the past 12 months is required for residential locations.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and supervise clients at all times, including at recovery communities, 12-step meetings, gyms, outside activities, outpatient clinics, and other locations where active program participants are present.
  • Develop and implement clinical treatment plans.
  • Prepare for and facilitate psychoeducational group sessions.
  • Assess clients for appropriate group participation.
  • Ensure that clients adhere to facility rules and provide guidance regarding program guidelines and requirements.
  • Verbally support clients during confusion, discontent, and disappointment while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and de-escalate situations through nonviolent crisis interventions.
  • Transport clients and staff to various destinations at the direction of the immediate supervisor or designee.
  • Complete daily shift reports, document client behavioral incidents and consequences, record maintenance needs, and maintain treatment-episode forms and documents.
  • Perform inventory of office supplies and food, shop as needed, and notify appropriate parties when supplies are low.
  • File information electronically in the medical record.
  • Prepare rooms and units for new clients by completing laundry, changing bedding, sanitizing areas, and cleaning refrigerators after a client discharges.
  • Obtain regular clinical supervision from a licensed behavioral health professional according to facility requirements.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs and air filters.
  • Maintain clean staff, indoor, outdoor, and facility areas by emptying trash and removing debris.
Desired Qualifications
  • A medical background such as medical assistant or certified nursing assistant experience is preferred.
  • Professional or personal experience with substance abuse treatment is highly preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One year of experience with self-administration of medication is preferred.
  • One year of behavioral health technician experience is preferred.
