Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or an equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated experience with site development engineering project design work is required.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience with civil engineering design projects, including leading complex teams and projects, is required.
  • An Engineer-In-Training professional designation is required.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar engineering design software for roadway, utilities, and grading design is required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required for travel.
Responsibilities
  • Work with clients and project teams to interpret overall site development plans and translate them into detailed engineering drawings.
  • Manage project tasks, including technical report writing and coordination with a multidisciplinary team, architects, and clients.
  • Assess the suitability of sites for development.
  • Design and plan infrastructure such as roads, utilities, drainage systems, and grading.
  • Navigate regulatory requirements and obtain necessary permits.
  • Oversee the development engineering design process from conception to completion.
  • Develop cost estimates and prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Provide construction administration services during the construction phase.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and expand market presence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Site-civil engineering design experience for architectural clients is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred, or the candidate must be able to obtain one after hire.
