EquipmentShare and Cummins announce landmark collaboration to deploy 1 gigawatt of mobile power. EQPT | 5 hours ago Multi-year fleet expansion combines advanced power technologies, nationwide rental distribution, and connected fleet intelligence to bridge the national power gap. EquipmentShare.com Inc (Nasdaq: EQPT) ("EquipmentShare"), a leader in connected jobsite technology and one of the largest construction equipment rental providers in the United States, today announced a multi-year fleet agreement with Cummins Inc. ("Cummins"), a global leader in power solutions products. This relationship positions EquipmentShare as a key rental and distribution channel for Cummins, with expected fleet growth to 1 gigawatt of natural gas power generation capacity to support major energy projects across the United States ("U.S."). As the U.S. experiences a surge in industrial development and critical infrastructure, contractors face a critical bottleneck: regional utility providers are struggling to keep pace with soaring power demand. According to the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, peak electricity demand in the U.S. is projected to surge by over 220 gigawatts over the next decade. The strategic investment in Cummins power generation products, including the commitment to utilize the C1400N6C, a 60Hz continuous lean burn gas generator set capable of delivering between 1400 - 1750 kVA of power, will establish EquipmentShare as a leading provider of temporary power, microgrid, and battery energy storage solutions for mission-critical infrastructure projects nationwide. "Combining Cummins' proven leadership in reliable, mission-critical power solutions with EquipmentShare's technology-driven distribution platform allows us to bring a gigawatt of resilient energy capacity online to high-impact jobsites when and where they need it most," said Jabbok Schlacks, founder and CEO of EquipmentShare. By utilizing existing pipeline infrastructure where available and supplementing with virtual pipeline logistics to deliver fuel to off-grid sites, EquipmentShare provides uninterrupted power and equipment uptime across any terrain. This natural gas-led strategy delivers a cleaner alternative that can reduce total energy costs for contractors by 50% to 80% compared to traditional mobile power. "We're pleased to support EquipmentShare as they expand their power fleet with Cummins solutions," said Susan Cleaver, Vice President, Global Power Generation at Cummins. "This investment highlights the ongoing need for dependable power solutions, and we're proud to work with customers and distributors to help meet those needs." Cummins' Accelera to expand battery-electric manufacturing in Spain. By Web Team September 21, 2026 3 Mins Read Cummins' Accelera is opening a Spain plant to build its 102 kWh, 840V LFP battery for electric buses and trucks. Cummins and its Accelera by Cummins business are expanding battery manufacturing in Europe with a new plant in Spain to build the Advanced LFP battery platform, a modular 102 kWh, up-to-840V system for buses and trucks. Accelera is also developing the eULFA and 14Xe electric axles for commercial vehicles. Cummins Inc., headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, and its Accelera by Cummins business have announced plans to expand battery manufacturing in Europe with a new facility in Spain. The plant will produce Cummins' Advanced LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery platform, a modular system with 102 kWh of energy capacity and up to 840V, built on a cell-to-pack architecture the company says is designed for long service life, safety and flexible integration. The batteries are aimed at commercial vehicle applications including buses and trucks. According to Amy Davis, president of Accelera and Components at Cummins, "We're seeing growing demand for battery-electric solutions in the European commercial vehicle market, and our customers are looking for partners who can help them scale with confidence." She adds, "Manufacturing in Spain strengthens our ability to support customers locally, while positioning us for long-term growth in the region." Accelera is also developing two electric axle systems for commercial vehicles. The eULFA (electric ultra-low floor axle), designed for low-floor city and transit buses, integrates two electric motors and inverters with a single coolant circuit and a single-plane helical gear design, and is engineered to reduce noise and vibration at speeds of up to 85 km/h for standard city buses and 105 km/h for advanced transit applications. The 14Xe eAxle, aimed at medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, is available with a two- or three-speed twin countershaft or two-speed planetary transmission, and integrates with Accelera's ELFA 3 high-power inverter. Cummins says the design reduces the need for wheel-end reductions. Alongside its electric-drive portfolio, Cummins is expanding its Cummins HELM(TM) engine platforms, which support multiple fuel types including diesel and natural gas. New additions include the B7.2 medium-duty engine, delivering 179 to 260 kW (240 to 350 hp) and up to 1,350 Nm of torque, and the X10, delivering up to 338 kW (454 hp) and 2,240 Nm of torque, both engineered to meet Euro 7 emissions standards. Cummins is also introducing the X15N heavy-duty natural gas engine to Europe, rated at 485 kW (650 hp) and 3,000 Nm of peak torque. According to Brett Merritt, president of Cummins' Engine Business, "Our customers need solutions that help them succeed today, while preparing for the future." He adds, "Whether customers are focused on improving performance, lowering total cost of ownership or advancing their decarbonization goals, we're committed to helping them navigate the path forward with confidence." Cummins also offers a range of drivetrain and emissions components, including the Meritor(R) 17X HE Class 8 single rear drive axle, the MIS-09 ProTec(TM) Independent Front Suspension for buses, and the U-Module aftertreatment system designed to meet Euro 7, NS-VII and BS-VII emissions regulations. Cummins operates through five business segments - Engine, Components, Distribution, Power Systems and Accelera by Cummins - and employs approximately 67,400 people worldwide. The company reported $33.7 billion in sales in 2025.

Cummins debuts X15N engine in Europe. Manufacturer's global goals for engine become clearer. Staff Reporter September 15, 2026 12:38 PM, EDT Key takeaways: HANNOVER, Germany - Cummins debuted its X15N heavy-duty natural gas engine in Europe on Sept. 14, marking the latest step in the Columbus, Ind.-based manufacturer's push beyond diesel powertrains. The engine maker, which has offered the X15N in North America for the past two years, showcased the natural gas-powered version of its largest truck engine at IAA Transportation, the Western world's largest truck show. Cummins has not yet opened its European order book for the X15N, and no truck manufacturers have announced plans to offer the engine to customers in the European Union, Maged Tadros, executive director of global on-highway pickup and fuel delivery systems, told Transport Topics on the sidelines of the conference. "The X15N, which fits where the 13-liter engine fits, brings proven heavy-duty natural gas technology to customers who are looking for another option that can be deployed today. It offers diesel-like performance and can operate on natural gas or biomethane, depending on the market and available infrastructure," Tadros told reporters during a briefing. Cummins also showcased its B7.2 and X10 engines to European customers for the first time at IAA. The company began testing the X15N with U.S. fleets in 2023. Early participants included Walmart and Werner Enterprises. The X15N is available with ratings up to 500 horsepower and 1,850 pound-feet of torque, allowing fleets to haul loads exceeding 80,000 pounds. Freightliner and Paccar offer the engine in North America. Industry observers viewed Freightliner's decision to make the X15N available in the Cascadia, its flagship on-highway model, as a key milestone for adoption of natural gas-powered trucks, particularly among advocates of renewable natural gas.
