Responsibilities
Serve as the primary coordination point for commissioning and turnover activities from contractor turnover through Process Ready status.
Develop and maintain detailed system- and equipment-level turnover schedules, execution plans, readiness trackers, and milestone schedules.
Coordinate handoffs between contractors, commissioning teams, operations personnel, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure progression through each phase of commissioning.
Maintain visibility of commissioning milestones, system dependencies, inspections, approvals, signoffs, and turnover requirements.
Monitor commissioning and turnover progress against project schedules and proactively identify risks, constraints, and potential delays.
Act as the primary liaison between the Commissioning Agent, contractors, engineers, vendors, project teams, and client stakeholders.
Facilitate communication among stakeholders to keep activities aligned with project objectives and turnover milestones.
Identify gaps in responsibility, sequencing, documentation, and planning, and engage appropriate stakeholders to resolve issues.
Coordinate and participate in commissioning meetings, turnover planning sessions, readiness reviews, and project coordination meetings.
Track commissioning status, open issues, deficiencies, constraints, and outstanding actions through completion and turnover.
Monitor the Commissioning Agent’s tracking systems and maintain visibility into upcoming activities, required actions, and stakeholder commitments.
Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and maintained according to project document-control requirements and established folder structures.
Prepare regular status reports, turnover dashboards, and executive-level summaries outlining progress, risks, constraints, upcoming milestones, and required actions.
Support refinement of commissioning implementation plans as additional detail, sequencing requirements, and turnover needs are identified during project execution.
Assist project teams in maintaining alignment between construction completion, commissioning activities, operational readiness, and Process Ready milestones.
Facilitate issue resolution and drive accountability among project stakeholders to keep turnover and commissioning activities on schedule.
Support project closeout by verifying that turnover documentation, signoffs, approvals, and readiness records are complete and properly maintained.
Help ensure stakeholders are prepared for each turnover and commissioning activity and that required deliverables are completed before handoff.
