Requirements
  • Must be local to the Morgantown, West Virginia area and willing to conduct in-person research at local courthouses.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in title or mineral research.
  • A Juris Doctorate or degree in Energy Management may substitute for the experience requirement, but must be accompanied by relevant job-related experience.
  • Meet specific daily and weekly deadlines based on internal and client requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
  • Interact professionally with all levels of management and clients through strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Responsibilities
  • Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership using online databases or by traveling to local county courthouses to review county records.
  • Analyze and document research results, selecting relevant information for client reports.
  • Meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities in an environment with shifting timeframes.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management and determined by business needs.

  • AAPL membership.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A Juris Doctorate or degree in Energy Management or Commerce.
