  • Understand materials used for different services, including wet CO2, sour, low-temperature, and toxic services; review vendor-proposed materials and knowledge of materials available for the relevant service and equipment.
  • Review material grades selected based on process inputs, material selection reports, and corrosion studies, and provide feedback when the selection is questionable.
  • Prepare calculation spreadsheets, technical data sheets, job and equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical clarifications, technical bid evaluations and tabulations, and equipment selection study reports.
  • Provide input to other disciplines’ deliverables, including layouts and utility requirements, weight data and foundation loading, equipment interface details, equipment lists, compressor aerodynamic and thermodynamic studies and summaries, and driver selection and derating.
  • Review vendor data to ensure compliance with codes and standards, local regulations, and project and discipline requirements.
  • Interface with piping and stress, process, civil, electrical, structural, and instrumentation disciplines; understand and resolve interface issues and conflicts.
  • Conduct vendor data review meetings and support vendors as needed to shorten review duration and maintain project progress.
  • Understand fabrication processes and critical elements and paths that affect equipment delivery, and anticipate measures to improve vendor equipment delivery schedules.
  • When assigned as Lead Engineer, commit to project objectives, monitor progress, manage resources appropriately, and execute the work to meet delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate and plan resources for project execution.
  • Carry out technical audits when requested by the Department Manager; for Senior Engineers, this applies to those with more than 10 years of experience.
  • Investigate and resolve quality complaints or incidents raised by interested parties or at the request of a client or project manager.
  • Produce quality engineering deliverables and services that meet joint-venture and client expectations, and fulfill quality assurance and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
