About the job
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Previous experience with cleaning equipment such as an extractor or buffer.
- Basic understanding of the English language.
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs by being professional and welcoming.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, hear, and speak to guests.
- Ensure cleanliness in guestrooms, public spaces, and throughout the Heart of House.
- Dust and clean walls, baseboards, vents, ceiling lights, doors, stall doors, and pictures.
- Add a personalized experience for guests.
- Perform deep cleaning in public areas, including floor stripping, waxing, buffing and polishing; clean spa facilities; shampoo carpets; strip sidewalks; and deep-clean public-area furniture, fixtures, artwork, and molding.
- Clean public restrooms, including sinks, mirrors, chrome fixtures, marble tops, toilets, urinals, and fixtures; empty trash cans; clean wall receptacles; replenish accessory dispensers and soap dispensers.
- Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms or areas.
- Respond professionally, politely, and efficiently to guest requests.
- Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness.
- Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
- Read, understand, and follow all department policies.
- Warm and caring personality.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management.
