  • In-depth knowledge and proven track record in AI/ML infrastructure and tooling, including GPU infrastructure for gen-AI, frameworks for inference and training/fine-tuning, frameworks for agentic orchestration.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven track record in distributed systems and data platforms, including Ray & vector databases.
  • Experience with leading and managing teams of ML engineers and backend engineers.
  • Experience with setting and executing innovation strategies at both technical and organizational levels to drive business objectives.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a long-term strategy and roadmap for AI/ML tooling to support the AI capabilities across the Splunk portfolio.
  • Lead the development of AI/ML tools that would accelerate the development of AI capabilities by our teams and by our customers.
  • Partner with Product Leads and Engineering Leads to ensure the AI/ML tooling supports our AI roadmap.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of AI/ML tooling, and ensure that these advancements are properly incorporated into our AI tooling roadmap.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure the development of their skills.
  • Develop structures to hold the team accountable for progress, for learning, for communicating, and meeting business objectives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the Cybersecurity and/or Observability industry is preferred
  • Experience with leading and executing complex AI products within cross-functional teams
