We are seeking a Dynamic Information and Data Architect to drive Transformation at Octopus Energy Generation.
Reporting into the Head of Transformation and Technology, this role will focus on creating a future-ready organisation through innovative architecture, with a strong emphasis on data integration and governance.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals and future technological trends.
- Lead the development of robust data architecture, including data modelling, integration, and governance.
- Ensure the architecture supports both structured and unstructured data management.
- Evaluate and select systems and tools that enhance our technological capabilities.
- Implement solutions that leverage cloud platforms, big data technologies, and AI/ML tools.
- Drive large-scale transformational projects, ensuring seamless integration of new systems and processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture supports and enhances business processes.
What you’ll need
- Extensive experience in solutions and data architecture, with proficiency in frameworks like TOGAF.
- Deep understanding of data management principles and technologies.
- Ability to anticipate and integrate future technological trends, ensuring the organisation is future-ready.
- Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is desirable.
- Certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF) and data management (DAMA) are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of innovative thinking in solving complex technical problems.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders, though this will be complemented by the Head of Transformation and Technology.
- Experience in leading technical teams and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
