About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related four-year course.
- Three to five years of experience in backend or API development using Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development principles.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL and/or SQL Server.
- Experience with API management platforms such as IBM API Connect or similar tools.
- Familiarity with API security standards, including JWT, OAuth, and API key management.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs following best practices in API design, security, and performance.
- Develop and optimize database queries, schemas, and transactions using MySQL or SQL Server.
- Configure and manage APIs using API management platforms such as IBM API Connect, including publishing, security policies, and access control.
- Support deployment, testing, debugging, and performance tuning of backend services and APIs across environments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable system integration.
