Requirements

  • The employee must periodically work in other facility areas as directed by the Shift Leader or Facility Management.
  • The employee must couple and uncouple tractors and trailers.
  • The employee must drive a yard tractor to move units to specified areas.
  • The employee must be highly self-motivated, understand the need to complete assigned work, remain detail-oriented, and organize, multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • The Wastewater Technician oversees the daily tank-wash processes under the direction of the Terminal Manager while following company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
  • The technician must ensure compliance with DHEC regulations for the existing pump-and-haul permit.
  • The technician must ensure that daily boiler testing required by Total Clean and DHEC is completed.
  • The technician must work with dispatch and tank cleaners to schedule tank-equipment cleaning and optimize chemical and manpower resources.
  • The technician must communicate by email and phone with internal and external customers and provide customer service.
  • The technician must report safety and performance issues to the Terminal Manager and/or Operations Supervisor.
  • The technician must oversee safety aspects at the tank wash.
  • The technician must read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines and apply required timelines.
  • The technician must perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of cleaning equipment.
  • The technician must monitor the strength of cleaning solutions.

Premier Bulk Systems Acquires Canada East Coast Operator

Premier Bulk Systems has acquired fellow bulk liquid hauler Longhorn Transportation for an undisclosed sum. The deal gives Ontario, Canada-based Premier Bulk Systems a presence in the Maritime Provinces along Canada’s east coast. New Brunswick, Canada-based Longhorn provides bulk liquid truckload services, hauling petroleum products, asphalt and chemicals. The 21-year-old carrier also provides flatbed and dry van TL transportation. “The addition of Longhorn into Premier’s operating network is highly complementary and leaves us well-positioned for ongoing commercial success and future growth,” said Kevin Berry, Premier’s founder and president, in a news release. Heniff Transportation Systems, LLC announced today that it has acquired the corporate holding company of tank truck operator Coal City Cob Company, Inc. Through this most recent acquisition, Heniff continues to accelerate its industry-leading growth in the tank truck industry's chemical space. Coal City Cob ("CCC") operates with over 230 drivers and 500 trailers within its nationwide network of terminals, including a significant rail-to-truck bulk transfer yard and tank wash facility at its headquarters in Waxahachie, Texas.
