Requirements
  • Prior experience with managing teams of at least 5 people in a remote-first environment
  • Prior experience with successful collaboration with Product Management and Engineering at director and VP levels
  • B2B experience, across a range of customer sizes: small business, medium, and enterprise
  • Experience designing data and information visualization tools for people ranging from neophyte to power-user
  • Success in leading design within a Product-Led Growth (PLG) environment
  • Demonstrated leadership throughout a user-centered design process
  • Success at leading across an Engineering-Product-Design triad
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, brings clarity to uncertainty
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Orderly and organized, adept at planning and program management
  • Comfortable structuring and planning design work in cross-functional contexts
  • Eager mentor and capable educator
  • Comfortable with the language of business, data-driven, and tying design team effort to product and business outcomes
Responsibilities
  • All the people management for a team of Product Designers, including 1:1s, professional development, performance reviews, etc.
  • Recruit and hire product designers, staff freelancers and contractors as needed
  • Lead the creative efforts across the Product Analytics offering
  • Partner with cross-functional peers to plan the best approaches for delivery of quality user experiences
  • Drive UX research and content practices
  • Uphold quality standards in the face of pressures such as timelines, feedback, and workloads
  • Keep designers and cross-functional peers focused on product and business objectives
