Requirements
  • Experience administering or supporting MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, MuleSoft API Management, or a similar enterprise API management platform.
  • Experience with API lifecycle management, including API onboarding, publishing, versioning, change management, deprecation, and retirement.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and support the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and associated API management capabilities.
  • Support configuration and management of environments, users, roles, permissions, access policies, and other platform components.
  • Support API onboarding, publishing, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Manage platform access and role-based permissions in accordance with established security and governance requirements.
  • Support API policies, security configurations, and other platform controls.
  • Troubleshoot platform and API management issues and coordinate with technical teams and vendors to resolve problems.
  • Maintain platform configuration documentation, administration procedures, and operational standards.
  • Develop, document, and maintain API governance processes, standards, procedures, and lifecycle workflows.
  • Define governance checkpoints, approval gates, required artifacts, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support API design, publication, change management, versioning, deprecation, and retirement.
  • Maintain API lifecycle status, change histories, version information, and governance documentation.
  • Ensure APIs follow established enterprise standards and governance requirements.
  • Support MuleSoft migration planning, sequencing, readiness assessments, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate with the MuleSoft implementation vendor on platform administration, governance requirements, API cataloging, access rules, and migration sequencing.
  • Assess candidate APIs for ownership, dependencies, documentation, security considerations, readiness, and consumer impact.
  • Track migration status, risks, dependencies, issues, and milestones through dashboards and portfolio reporting.
  • Support migration planning and issue resolution across source systems, API teams, and platform stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain API documentation and OpenAPI standards.
  • Support conversion of existing API documentation to OpenAPI Specifications where appropriate.
  • Document API endpoints, methods, schemas, security requirements, usage constraints, and error handling.
  • Maintain an OpenAPI conversion and remediation backlog.
  • Work with API owners and development teams to improve documentation quality and consistency.
  • Catalog APIs in approved enterprise repositories and maintain complete and accurate metadata.
  • Maintain API ownership, classification, usage constraints, certification status, lineage, and consumer information.
  • Map APIs to relevant data domains, data products, authoritative sources, and downstream consumers.
  • Support API discoverability and reuse across approved users, systems, and mission stakeholders.
  • Ensure API schemas align with approved enterprise data definitions and data quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with security, privacy, system owners, and data stewards to ensure API access and platform configurations meet federal and enterprise requirements.
  • Support role-based access control and other access governance processes.
  • Support security policies, data minimization, logging, auditing, and monitoring requirements.
  • Contribute to ATO, PTA, PIA, and related governance documentation as needed.
  • Track and support remediation of access, security, privacy, and governance issues.
  • Provide intake and onboarding support for new APIs and data sources.
  • Assist API and source system owners with readiness assessments, documentation, governance approvals, and security and privacy requirements.
  • Capture API business needs, data requirements, ownership, consumers, and mission value.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, job aids, templates, user guides, and training materials for API owners, data stewards, technical teams, and consumers.
  • Support communications and outreach that promote MuleSoft adoption, API reuse, and enterprise data capabilities.
  • Monitor API platform and portfolio metrics, including usage, adoption, availability, errors, performance, risks, and compliance.
  • Support API observability and monitoring using approved enterprise tools.
  • Maintain API portfolio backlogs, lifecycle reports, change and versioning logs, and governance dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform administration, API reuse, governance processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular status reporting and briefings to technical and program leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • MuleSoft certification, such as MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect.
  • Experience with Databricks, Data Lakehouse environments, Collibra, ServiceNow, or enterprise data catalog platforms.
  • Experience supporting DHS, ICE, or other federal government environments.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, role-based access control, attribute-based access control, data masking, data tagging, or field-level security.
  • Experience with API observability, monitoring, performance metrics, and API portfolio reporting.
  • Experience supporting AI, machine learning, automation, or analytics platforms in governed data environments.

Xpect Solutions is adding artificial intelligence, automation, software development and other mission-focused capabilities through the acquisition of Amivero. The company didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal. The addition of Amivero is another step for NewSpring Holdings backed Xpect to build a technology company focused on the national security market. "Xpect's strategy has always been about building the capabilities our customers need to solve their most important mission challenges," said Yusuf Abdul-Salaam, CEO of Xpect Solutions. Xpect's strategy has focused on four technical disciplines: enterprise IT, cybersecurity, digital modernization, and data and AI. Amivero adds complementary capabilities and customer relationships. Its expertise includes AI and automation, fraud operations, digital identity and software development will be added to Xpect's strengths in network modernization, zero trust, cyber operations, physical security, cloud, DevSecOps and mission-focused data solutions. Together, the company will accelerate research and development and investment in repeatable solutions to help federal customers modernize and scale mission-critical systems, Xpect said in its announcement. Over the last year, Xpect has pulled in $40 million in unclassified prime contracts. Its biggest customer is the FBI, according to USASpending.gov. Amivero had about $32 million in unclassified prime contracts. Much of its work goes through the General Services Administration. The Homeland Security Department is its next biggest customer.
