About the job
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in JVM-based secure web applications.
- Expert coding skills in front-end and back-end Java.
- Experience with Java Enterprise Edition or JVM-based secure web applications and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol.
- Experience designing scalable web services.
- Strong foundational knowledge and experience with Java Message Service.
- Experience deploying J2EE applications using IBM WebSphere 7.0 or later.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Experience with an integrated development environment such as Eclipse, Rational Application Developer, or WebSphere Development Studio Client.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and release management tools.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools, including Git, Subversion, and Jira.
- Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture, IBM DB2, Structured Query Language, Java Database Connectivity, the Spring Framework, Hibernate, Core Java, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, Ajax, jQuery, JSP, JSTL, Tiles2, and OS/400, Unix, or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages.
- Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring and developing knowledge and skills.
- Develop and maintain secure JVM-based web applications using front-end and back-end Java.
- Design scalable web services.
- Deploy J2EE applications using IBM WebSphere 7.0 or later.
- Mentor and coach other team members.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively, including actively listening to and comprehending system requirements.
