Job Description
- Audiologists identify, evaluate, rehabilitate/habilitate individuals with hearing/balance disorders
- Audiologists create individualized rehabilitative treatment plans for individuals with hearing disorders
- Audiologists provide education regarding hearing/balance disorders and hearing conservation
- Audiologists participate in community outreach events, including hearing screenings as part of hearing conservation
- Audiologists provide tinnitus management options
- Audiologists provide cochlear implant services
- Audiologists provide education/preceptorship:teaching and mentoring of audiology extern and graduate students, medical students, and residents
- Audiologists participate in research initiatives
- Audiologists should exhibit efficient communication and collaboration among clinical and non-clinical staff across locations
- ·Audiologists should completion all patient encounters in a timely manner via the institution’s medical record system.
- Timely and efficient completion of all appointment types is expected
- Timely and efficient documentation of outgoing and incoming tasks via the institution’s medical record system is expected
- Efficient utilization and time management across locations is expected
- Positive patient satisfaction/experience is fundamental
- Audiologists are expected to meet knowledge and skill development expectations of supervisors
- Audiologists are expected to set and pursue goals outlined in yearly performance evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) PA and/or NJ License to practice audiology.
- Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from an accredited institution.
- Maintains required CEUs in accordance with certification and licensure requirements
