Requirements
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of legal billing/e-billing experience.
  • Previous experience with Aderant & Billblast preferred.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various vendor websites and the BillBlast system for electronic billing.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and reliable, with the ability to multitask effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong prioritization skills and willingness to take initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the client rate setup and submissions within the e-billing portals. Ensure timely and accurate submission of electronic invoices to clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Pricing Team to ensure proper rate sets are applied to client/matters.
  • Lead the annual rate increase submissions to the clients’ vendor sites and handle monthly submissions of new e-billing timekeepers.
  • Maintain the e-billing vendor sites to ensure accurate and up-to-date data, while also managing e-billing information in the firm’s time and billing system.
  • Monitor e-billing daily for new invoices, rejections, and assist with appeals.
  • Provide guidance to billers on e-billing submissions and offer e-billing training as needed.
  • Maintain an internal database of e-billed clients and their compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with client-specific e-billing requirements.
  • Promptly and proactively resolve issues that arise during and after the invoice submission process.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding e-billing issues and inquiries. Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries related to e-billing and payments.
  • Perform detailed review of existing e-billing processes. Identify opportunities to implement streamlined and standardized processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Update reference materials for all aspects of the e-billing process as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain e-billing software and tools, ensuring they appropriately meet the needs of the firm.
  • Generate and analyze e-billing reports to identify trends and problem areas that require resolution.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
