Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics, web analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in web analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and Data Visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • High proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python).
  • Experience with A/B or multivariate testing & measurement methodologies.
  • Experience with website traffic, clickstream data, visitor funnel and cart abandonment analytics.
  • Exposure to analytical techniques for marketing attribution.
  • Exposure to ad platforms data, including keywords and channel-specific ROI/ROAS metrics across various marketing channels such as paid search, social media, affiliate programs and brand partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of product analysts and data scientists.
  • Set clear strategic direction and context for your team.
  • Establish a culture of high performance & ensure team’s work is prioritized against strategic goals, balancing reactive support and exploratory analysis.
  • Grow and mentor the talent on the team, both technically & strategically on industry best practices such as statistical modeling, exploratory data analysis and experimentation techniques.
  • Partner with other Product Analytics leaders to co-lead the broader team’s culture, processes, and capabilities.
  • Partner with Ecommerce product managers and other business partners to understand their priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify big picture analyses (EDAs, new KPIs, BI or data science applications) and experimentation to inform aggregate product strategy.
  • Act as the company thought leader about prospective customer user behavior on site.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of web analytics tools (e.g., Segment, Amplitude, Looker).
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for user traffic, conversion rates, engagement and revenue. Identify high impact improvement opportunities.
  • Lead team to conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior to identify patterns, trends and areas for improvement. Ensure recommendations tie to business opportunities and are effectively integrated into Product Roadmap.
  • Support experimentation initiatives by partnering with the PMs for setting up effective A/B or multivariate tests, executing post-experiment success measurement and statistical quantification.
  • With your team, create and deliver reports on performance, user behavior, and A/B test outcomes to stakeholders. Communicate the 'what,' 'so what' and 'now what' path to driving improvement.
  • Be responsible for the development, oversight and presentation of insights & KPIs for business reviews and leadership updates.
  • Partner within the Product Analytics team to see and share an aligned behavior view of users and the business.
  • Effectively partner and prioritize with Product Managers on strategy, roadmap, and key questions to understand that inform research and experimentation.
  • Partner with other business stakeholders such as Marketing, Finance, and Enterprise Data to ensure we are utilizing consistent definitions and accurate data sources and broadly maintain shared cross-company context that informs strategy and prioritization.
