Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Excellent automotive diagnostic skills.
  • A strong investment in tools.
  • Ability to flag 30 or more hours per week, depending on shop needs.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair.
  • Dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate a computer.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively as part of a team.
  • Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Communicate guest concerns effectively with the service department.
  • Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASE A1-A8 certifications.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
  • A desire for long-term career development.
