Requirements
  • Home Care Services Bureau registration (PER ID#).
  • Livescan/fingerprinting clearance and a clean criminal background.
  • Current tuberculosis clearance through a skin test, X-ray, or blood test.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States using two forms of I-9-compliant identification.
  • English language proficiency.
  • At least one year of non-medical professional experience caring for elderly or disabled adults, or related caregiving experience.
  • Consistent ability to travel to and from client assignments by car, public transportation, or another means.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds or more using proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, push or pull, reach, bend, walk, maneuver, and reposition.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care services to older adults in homes, hospitals, day centers, skilled nursing facilities, and community residential facilities.
  • Provide bathing, dressing, and personal care assistance.
  • Prepare meals.
  • Provide medication reminders.
  • Run errands and shopping tasks.
  • Provide respite and companion engagement.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
  • Provide pet care.
  • Provide Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
  • Provide Parkinson’s care.
  • Provide hospice care.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the administrative team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic smartphone and technical skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese, or Russian.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide credentials.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse background, including students or retirees from those backgrounds.
