Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal Medical Radiography training in an American Medical Association-approved school.
- Meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Maintain adequate competency levels in each diagnostic imaging modality when cross-trained.
- Complete required documentation and certification renewals annually.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Vermont state license to practice Medical Radiography.
- Up to six months of experience is required to become proficient.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform the majority of examinations with minimal supervision.
- Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
- Cross-train in other diagnostic imaging modalities based on departmental staffing needs.
- Perform all aspects of the job descriptions for each modality in which the employee is cross-trained.
