Responsibilities
  • Phone Coverage & Internal/External Servicing: Handle a high volume of calls with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Accurately route calls, document, track, and deliver messages, ensuring all essential details are captured and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Support turret setup and maintenance, including speed dials, broker lines, and wired/wireless headsets.
  • Trade Floor Operations & Administrative Support: Manage the distribution of research materials, ensuring timely delivery of both printed and digital packets.
  • Coordinate trade floor seat moves, including intake of requests, logistics, desk preparation, and partnership with Facilities and IT.
  • Oversee visitor seating assignments, ensuring desks, phones, and system access are properly prepared.
  • Coordinate maintenance and servicing of trade floor equipment, including printers, copiers, telephones, televisions, desks, carpets, and lighting.
  • Maintain fully stocked supply rooms and ensure consistent replenishment of trade floor materials such as paper, toner, stationery, and other essentials.
  • Ensure ticker and wallboard systems are updated daily and remain fully operational.
  • Assist with audio and video conference connections, ensuring meetings start smoothly and technical issues are resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, including flights, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and preparation of final itineraries and related materials.
  • Expense Management & Approvals: Process detailed expense reports through Concur, ensuring compliance with policy.
  • Track approvals, monitor outstanding reimbursements, and reconcile monthly statements.
  • Maintain accurate records and proactively identify discrepancies or delays.

Waymo raises $3B in first debt deal with Pimco and Blackstone for robotaxi expansion

Waymo is finalising its first debt deal, raising over $3 billion from lenders including Pacific Investment Management Co. (Pimco) and Blackstone. The autonomous vehicle company aims to use the funds to strengthen its position as a leading global robotaxi operator. This marks Waymo's first venture into debt financing as it scales its self-driving taxi service.

IREN secures $2.8B financing and AI lab deal as $684M quarterly loss hits shares

Data centre firm IREN signed a multi-year contract with an undisclosed frontier AI lab and secured $2.8 billion in new financing to fund AI chip purchases. The financing includes a $2.4 billion facility led by Blue Owl and Pacific Investment Management Company. IREN reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $684 million, compared with net income of $176.9 million a year earlier. The loss included a $450.4 million non-cash impairment from decommissioning bitcoin mining hardware as the company transitions to AI cloud services. Revenue fell 27% to $137.2 million but exceeded analysts' estimates of $136.8 million. IREN shares dropped more than 7% in extended trading following the results. The company said its 2026 compute capacity was largely sold out.

Ingenico secures $168M from PIMCO to restructure debt and expand cloud payment platforms

Ingenico has secured €150 million in funding from a PIMCO-led investor group to restructure its capital and accelerate its shift towards cloud-based payment technology. The Paris-based company will use the investment to scale its AXIUM family of Android-based payment devices and expand Ingenico 360, a unified cloud platform consolidating device management, transaction services, and analytics. The funding supports Ingenico's transition from hardware sales to a platform-as-a-service model. The company is opening new offices in London, San Francisco, and Istanbul to house Customer Excellence teams providing localised support. Newly appointed CEO Floris de Kort said the investment enables faster execution on product development and customer service priorities. The recapitalisation aims to strengthen Ingenico's balance sheet whilst funding innovation across its core payment acceptance solutions for retailers, banks, and fintech companies.

Allianz increases stake in Pimco to at least 95% for minimum $1.6B

Allianz is increasing its stake in US asset management subsidiary Pimco from 90.6% to at least 95%, investing a minimum of €1.4 billion. The Munich-based insurance giant has terminated an employee participation programme that was launched 18 years ago and expired in 2020, through which Pimco managers held a 9.4% stake in the bond fund specialist. The company announced the move on Thursday evening. Pimco specialises in bond funds and operates as a subsidiary of the German insurance group.

Pimco launches global fixed income fund with four-manager team

Pimco has launched the Pimco GIS Global Bond Opportunities Fund, a global fixed income fund within its Pimco GIS UCITS range. The vehicle focuses on the global bond market through allocation across regions, yield curves, sectors and currencies without tracking a bond market index. The fund will be managed by a four-person team: Andrew Balls, managing director and CIO of global fixed income; Sachin Gupta, managing director and portfolio manager; Lorenzo Pagani, managing director and portfolio manager; and Martin Svorc, executive vice president and portfolio manager. The fund is available in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, amongst other countries.
