Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the commercial construction industry overseeing ground-up healthcare projects.
  • Ability to manage more than two projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project reporting software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, quality standards, and the construction process, including materials, equipment, and techniques.
  • Three to five years of project management experience.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites, with travel up to 30%.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team and schedule multi-tasking work for a multi-member team.
  • Ability to communicate with project owners, tradespeople, team members, project management, and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use technology and computers effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the project budget, write contracts, approve invoices, and update the project schedule.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and help resolve issues or conflicts during the job.
  • Organize, process, and distribute pertinent project documents.
  • Create the project schedule.
  • Expedite documents and material and equipment deliveries to meet the project schedule.
  • Maintain cost-control data and prepare cost reports.
  • Maintain mutually satisfying long-term relationships with customers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Develop short-interval schedules for weekly coordination meetings.
  • Conduct implementation and tracking of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design requirements.
  • Administer document control for shop drawings, submittals, subcontracts and purchase orders, insurance certificates and bonds, requests for information, plans and specifications, warranties, as-builts and manuals, notices to owner and lien releases, construction bulletins, owner change-order requests, and back charges.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with contract documents.
  • Complete subcontractor payment and vendor invoice processing.
  • Attend project-related meetings and assist with preparing and distributing meeting minutes and attendee rosters.
  • Write weekly reports using notes from the superintendent.
  • Manage project closeout procedures and activities.
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed at the project site.
