Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for an Estimator to support our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey, BC (Office Location - 19175 - 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6), reporting to the Chief Estimator.

A Day In The Life

Complete take-offs/estimate or assigned projects
Follow up on multi-scope or single-scope projects
Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings
Complete work orders & prepare material order sheets
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
Participate in initial handoff meetings, production meetings and project autopsies.
Visit job sites
Consult, communicate, and build rapport with internal departments

What We Are Seeking

3 to 5 years’ Estimating work experience; experience in the Building Envelope (Glazing, Metals/Roofing) industry is an asset.
Architectural Technology Diploma, Estimating Certificate, education in a related field or equivalent work experience
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
General Building Envelope knowledge
Sales skills
Background in Building Science
Basics of AutoCAD
