Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, Health Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Two to four or more years of experience in quality management, performance improvement, or regulatory compliance in behavioral health or healthcare settings is required.
  • Knowledge of Office of Mental Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, New York State Justice Center, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and The Joint Commission requirements is required.
  • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, New York State Justice Center, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission, and other applicable regulations, and lead survey and audit preparedness.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and performance metrics and identify trends to drive improvement.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and safety.
  • Manage the incident reporting lifecycle, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and trend monitoring.
  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to enhance patient experience and support staff development in quality and safety practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, and Plan-Do-Study-Act, and with benchmarking tools is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
