Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Sufficient Aviation Life Support Equipment experience to manage an Aviation Life Support Equipment program shop in accordance with FM 1-385 and AR 95-1, Chapter 8.
  • Completion of the Aviation Life Support Equipment training requirements stated in AR 95-1, Paragraph 8-14.
  • Qualification as an Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician through a United States military service, Federal Aviation Administration certification, or an equivalent recognized program.
  • Experience supporting military aviation life support programs, preferably involving H-60 and CH-47 platforms.
  • Strong understanding of military and Federal Aviation Administration aviation safety standards, technical orders, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of Aviation Life Support Equipment, including flight suits, helmets, and survival gear.
  • Support flight operations by ensuring Aviation Life Support Equipment meets regulatory and program-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with flight crews, maintenance teams, and program managers to maintain Aviation Life Support Equipment readiness and compliance.
  • Document and report equipment status, discrepancies, and maintenance actions in accordance with applicable service guidance, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and flight personnel on Aviation Life Support Equipment procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Aviation Life Support Equipment technical orders, manuals, and regulatory guidance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Aviation Life Support Equipment program effectiveness and safety.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a military or defense contractor environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple aircraft types and associated Aviation Life Support Equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams, including pilots, maintenance personnel, quality personnel, and management personnel.
