Requirements
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize Foundation Room members, Live Nation corporate executives, and VIPs to show appreciation for their membership and patronage.
  • Execute the steps of service for upscale dining and bottle service standards and procedures.
  • Provide bottle and wine service.
  • Upsell and suggest food, beverages, and liquors to guests.
  • Use culinary knowledge and recommendations to guide guests through their dining experience.
  • Take orders and communicate drink orders to the bar through the point-of-sale system.
  • Deliver drinks while maneuvering trays through large crowds.
  • Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through the work area throughout the shift.
  • Remove dirty glasses, dishes, and ashtrays from tables, including lifting and moving bus tubs up to 25 pounds.
  • Keep tables clean and wipe them as needed.
  • Clean spills and remove food, trash, and other obstacles from the floor using proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards and follow housekeeping standards.
  • Keep current on standard operating procedures.
  • Request identification from guests who appear to be under 30 years of age.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service according to local ordinances, alcohol-awareness training, and House of Blues alcohol policies.
  • Recognize when guests are too intoxicated, courteously refuse further alcohol service, and notify the manager.
  • Receive payments and process cash, credit card, or travelers-check transactions according to House of Blues policy.
  • Process complimentary and void checks according to House of Blues policy.
  • Assist other servers and staff as needed.
  • Attend the pre-shift meeting conducted by the Manager on Duty before each shift.

Live Nation posts record Q2 with $7.7B revenue amid legal troubles and monopoly ruling

Live Nation reported second quarter revenue of $7.7 billion, up 9% year-over-year, with operating income of $522 million, up 7%. The company saw record quarterly performance for both Ticketmaster and concert attendance. Ticketmaster generated revenue of $852 million, up 15%, selling 90 million fee-bearing tickets, an 8% increase. Concert revenue grew 8% to $6.4 billion, with fan attendance reaching 49 million, up 10% and the highest second quarter on record. The results follow Live Nation's settlement with the Department of Justice, which included up to $280 million in payments. The company reported $450 million in legal accruals related to ongoing litigation, including a jury finding of unlawful monopolisation. CEO Michael Rapino said more than 143 million tickets have sold through mid-July, over 14 million ahead of last year's pace.

Live Nation Q2 earnings preview: revenue expected to grow 7.8% year on year

The live events and entertainment company beat revenue expectations last quarter with $3.79 billion in sales, up 12.1% year-on-year. Analysts expect revenue growth of 7.8% year-on-year this quarter, down from 16.3% growth in the same period last year. Over the past 30 days, analysts have largely maintained their estimates. The company has missed Wall Street revenue forecasts multiple times over the past two years. Live Nation shares currently trade at $180.93, with an average analyst price target of $192.50. The stock price has remained flat over the past month. Peers AMC Entertainment and Delta recently reported quarterly results, with revenue growth of 14.2% and 18.7% respectively, both exceeding estimates.
