King & Spalding goes shopping for arbitration heavyweights. King & Spalding is making a conspicuously expensive-looking play for global arbitration dominance. Its latest recruit is Thomas Voisin, former managing partner of Quinn Emanuel's Paris office, who joins after handling more than 100 commercial and investment arbitrations. Voisin becomes the ninth international disputes partner recruited in just three months. The real statement came earlier this summer when King & Spalding raided WilmerHale for an eight-partner disputes team spanning London, New York and Washington, led by arbitration heavyweight Gary Born. PARIS, September 2, 2026 - King & Spalding announced today that Thomas Voisin, a leading practitioner in international arbitration, has joined the Paris office as the firm continues the strategic expansion of its International Disputes practice group. He has experience acting under major institutional rules including ICC, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL, as well as in ad hoc proceedings. He has handled more than 100 arbitrations across a range of sectors, notably oil and gas, power, construction, transportation, mining and aviation, typically on contracts or projects in Europe and North Africa.
