Requirements
  • Bachelors’ degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Ten or more years of financial services experience, focused on service delivery or operational functions for Wholesale, CSBB, or other relevant industry experience in banking, financial services, or other services industry.
  • Minimum of six years relevant operational continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience defining and delivering large-scale initiatives in financial services or transactional-based processes.
  • Proven ability to use research and data analytics to diagnose problems, recommend action plans to resolve issues and drive business decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to communicate, educate, advocate and negotiate for transformation and critical process change initiatives at all levels of the enterprise, with a focus on senior and executive levels.
  • Solid understanding of program and project management disciplines, techniques, and approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Comfortable managing high-profile concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. Driven by results which includes meeting commitments, performance metrics and required delivery dates.
  • Comfortable with working autonomously, handling ambiguity, and making independent decisions.
  • Excellent negotiating, presentation, facilitation, conflict management and consulting skills.
  • Master’s degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; banking or financial management education (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of operational and technical environments of financial institutions, including knowledge of applicable banking laws and regulations (preferred).
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification (preferred).
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designations (preferred).
  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Plans and executes high-impact/complex cross-functional projects to improve processes, including leadership of major initiatives and providing direction to establish functions that are critical to successful operations including in-depth analysis of issues and requirements, governance plans, peer research, process design and documentation, leadership on system solutions, facilitation across internal departments and functions, and communications and change management strategies.
  • Design, develop or modify process strategies in support of the line of business and product goals as well as specific organizational objectives to support client outcomes in alignment with business requirements.
  • Develop and construct process workflows for assigned processes leveraging design mapping to support deployment into production environment.
  • Leverage assessments of process performance outcomes to highlight opportunities for improvement in cycle times, process quality, production throughput, resource utilization and total cost of delivery.
  • Develop and manage implementation plans to support roll out of people, process, tech changes into production for all assisted processes and areas.
  • Leverage measures, metrics, SLAs and process engineering assessment and control approaches and tools to determine if assigned processes are performing optimally and as designed.
  • Responsible for ensuring improvement initiatives are tied to a measurable goal and that savings are realized. Measure and monitor return on investment of improvement projects to ensure organizational efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide the appropriate reporting to facilitate communication with Regulators, as well as internal and external Audit functions to ensure understanding of the organization’s strategic direction and to provide periodic briefings and status updates.
  • Coaches and mentors multiple teams in six sigma and project management tools. Educates and guides in the application of Business Process Management and associated tools or applications.
