Airport Airside Infrastructure Engineer - Infrastructure, City and Transport
Two days of telework per week; occasional international airport assignments.
About the job
- A degree from an engineering school such as ENTPE, ESTP, INSA, Polytech, or ENAC, or a university Bac+5 degree specializing in civil engineering, infrastructure, or airport engineering.
- Five to eight years of experience in airside airport infrastructure, gained in design consultancy, engineering supervision, airport ownership, airport operations, or a specialized contractor.
- Confirmed experience designing or overseeing construction of airside airport infrastructure.
- Knowledge of airport regulatory frameworks, including EASA CS-ADR-DSN, ICAO Annex 14, and DGAC/CHEA recommendations.
- Knowledge of airport operational constraints, aviation safety, and construction on occupied sites.
- Ability to perform geometric design of airport infrastructure and pavement design using DCA, Alizé, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of road and utility infrastructure principles applied to airport platforms, including drainage, sanitation, and utility networks.
- Knowledge of aviation compatibility and aircraft-turning simulation tools such as Aviplan or equivalent.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Mensura or Covadis.
- Knowledge of standards applicable to pavements, sanitation, and utility networks.
- Design airside developments, including runways, taxiways, and aircraft aprons, in compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Lead or perform feasibility, AVP, PRO, and DCE studies.
- Prepare written documents, including technical notes, CCTP specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Design aircraft pavements and prepare the associated calculation notes.
- Contribute to the design and review of drawings and associated models.
- Perform aviation compatibility studies and aircraft-turning analyses.
- Define and monitor investigations required to diagnose platforms, including surveying, geotechnical investigations, and pavement assessments, and prepare associated rehabilitation programs.
- Provide technical support during construction, including VISA reviews, technical analyses, and DOE reviews.
- Coordinate technical interfaces and participate in design meetings.
- Contribute to improving internal methods, tools, and technical references and to documenting lessons learned.
- Participate occasionally in international airport assignments and projects.
- Work with project teams, clients, and operational partners on technical matters.
- Rigor, autonomy, organization, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to take initiative and contribute to the development of a growing airport infrastructure practice.
