Responsibilities
Assist in implementing treatment plans and carry out routine functions.
Document treatment progress and modify specific treatments according to the patient’s status and within the scope of the physical therapist’s treatment plan.
Provide skilled assistance and instruction on ordered therapeutic components designed to meet established goals.
Test or measure joint range of motion, manual muscle strength, vital signs, and other objective measures to determine treatment effects.
Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements.
Assist with discharge planning and recommendations to facilitate safe transition plans for beneficiaries when appropriate.

The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position on our dynamic team. This role includes hours between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. As a PTA, you will assist in implementing treatment plans developed by our physical therapists to support the needs of residents in our healthcare community. Appropriately test or measure joint range-of-motion, manual muscle strength, vital signs, or other objective tests to determine effects of treatments
Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements
Assist with discharge planning and recommendations to facilitate safe transition plans for beneficiaries when appropriate
License/Certification required:
Licensed to work as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri
Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
