Requirements
  • MD/DO degree.
  • Must have completed residency from an ACGME accredited program prior to starting employment.
  • Board eligible/certified in Otolaryngology.
  • If board eligible, must obtain board certification within two years of employment.
  • Fellowship training in Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery required.
  • Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license.
  • Malpractice insurance and must be able to be successfully credentialed by Southern Nevada teaching hospitals and/or clinics.
  • Finalists will be subject to a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care.
  • Engage in research and teaching for Otolaryngology residents, other residencies, and medical students.
  • Surgical practice and teaching in both inpatient and outpatient care settings.
  • Pursue clinical and/or basic science research.
  • Must take calls and obtain privileges at several hospitals in the Las Vegas area.
Desired Qualifications
  • Tenure considerations may be given upon hire on a case-by-case basis depending on verified previous credentials, the FAPT recommendation, and the SOM Dean’s recommendation.
  • The candidate’s educational credentials, terminal degree, experience in an academic medical institution or equivalency, research and scholarly activity will be considered in determining the candidate’s recommended rank.
