MPWR Q3 revenue jumps 63% to $1.2B as Q4 guidance of $1.35B beats estimates

Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ: MPWR) posted third-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.20 billion, up 63.1% year on year and 3.4% above analyst estimates of $1.16 billion. It was the chipmaker's first $1 billion quarter. Adjusted earnings were $8.19 per share, 5.7% above the $7.75 expected. Operating margin rose to 29.7% from 26.5% a year earlier. The company guided fourth-quarter revenue to $1.35 billion at the midpoint, well above analysts' $1.23 billion estimate. Chief executive officer Michael Hsing credited design wins in enterprise data, automotive 48V power, and communications. "We do not see any signs to slow down," he said. Shares trade at $1,199, close to their pre-earnings price of $1,203.

Monolithic Power Systems posts record $1.2B Q3 revenue and guides Q4 up to $1.385B

Monolithic Power Systems reported record third-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.2 billion and net income of $271.1 million. The chip maker also guided fourth-quarter revenue to between $1.315 billion and $1.385 billion. It spent more than $450 million on share repurchases and is focusing more on enterprise data, automotive, and industrial power products. It also reshaped its finance leadership team and updated its long-term capacity plans, including a long-term partnership in Singapore. Risks include execution on capacity, free cash flow, and profit margins that are below last year's. Legal questions over past quality and customer order allegations also remain. The company's narrative projects $6.9 billion in revenue and $2.1 billion in earnings by 2029.

Monolithic Power Systems posts Q3 revenue above $1.2B, but P/E of 66.2x stirs valuation debate

Monolithic Power Systems (MPWR) reported third quarter revenue above $1.2 billion and issued fourth quarter sales guidance. It also reshuffled its senior finance team. The stock closed at $1,211.63. It is up 6.27% over seven days and 29.40% year to date, but down 10.06% over 30 days and 15.03% over 90 days. The three-year total shareholder return is 151.19%. The most followed narrative puts fair value at $1,799.80, which would make the shares 33% undervalued. It points to a capacity plan extended beyond $6 billion in annual revenue equivalents and a 300mm manufacturing partnership in Singapore targeting early 2027 volume. Valuation looks rich by earnings, however. MPWR trades at 66.2 times earnings, against 43.9 for the US semiconductor industry. Filling the new capacity and ongoing investigations are key risks.
