Requirements
  • A medical degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A doctoral degree is essential for an anesthesiologist.
  • Completion of an American Board of Internal Medicine-accredited Internal Medicine internship and residency is required.
  • NBME or Flex certification is required.
  • American Board of Internal Medicine certification or eligibility is required.
  • An unrestricted DEA number is required.
  • An unrestricted Georgia medical license is required.
  • Successful completion of a four-year Anesthesiology residency program is required.
  • Candidates must pass the required examination and be licensed to practice medicine in the state where they work.
  • Board certification through the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Board of Physician Specialties may be required.
  • Specialty certifications in areas such as palliative care, pediatric anesthesiology, dental anesthesiology, neurosurgery, obstetrics, and critical care may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesiology care as part of the Northside Hospital System's established provider team.
  • Provide general anesthesiology services across a wide variety of cases, including sports medicine, general surgery, trauma, endoscopy, urology, and obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Work with an experienced team of providers and well-trained staff.
  • Participate in a full-time schedule with light call.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is preferred.
